How to Vacuum Seal Bulk Food Without a Subscription write this for a 8th grader

Buying in bulk the various food items is one of the most efficient ways to economize and avoid frequent trips to the store. Nevertheless, there is a problem. The amount of chicken or flour that is bought may go bad rather fast. This is where the vacuum sealer comes in handy.

One does not need to subscribe to special services every month in order to do that. All that one needs to do is to perform the following steps by oneself easily. Think of this procedure as putting food to bed. Once it wakes up, it will taste exactly the same as it did on the day it was purchased.

Firstly, one has to obtain special equipment. The basic vacuum sealer machine will cost about forty dollars in Walmart. One also needs bags with special channels, which help the machine to remove the air and seal the package.

One should not use the rolls of plastic wraps since they won’t work in this case. Special bags with textures, designed for the vacuum sealer, have to be used. Such bags can be found under such trade names as FoodSaver or Nesco. These companies sell rolls of this kind, which can be cut to the necessary size.

This procedure looks rather simple but dirty if one does not consider some points. The bag should be cut about three inches larger than the product. Pat the meat dry, as it is impossible to seal the bag with the vacuum sealer in this case.

Put the opened end of the bag into the machine and latch it. Press the vacuum button and wait until the machine makes the plastic taut. You’ll hear the beeping sounds, which mean the sealing process is completed. Just remove the bag and put it into the freezer.

This method allows economizing from the subscription fees. One decides how much food he/she wants to place into the sealed bag. The steak can be stored for many years instead of several months.
